Most effective and fun French class!
After completing a month-long group French course, I decided to switch to private lessons and found Arthur through Superprof. Looking back, it was one of the best decisions I could have made for my French learning journey.
I moved to Strasbourg for work and was looking for a teacher who could adapt to my individual level, help me build confidence, and make learning both interactive and enjoyable. Arthur exceeded all my expectations. From the very beginning, he created a learning experience that was completely tailored to my needs, goals, and interests.
I took two-hour lessons with him every Monday after work, and what makes him truly stand out is how personalized his teaching is. He adapts not only to your language level and pace but also to your personal interests, which makes every lesson engaging and motivating. We always combined grammar, exercises, reading, conversation, and role plays, so learning never felt theoretical—it felt practical and relevant to everyday life.
One thing I particularly appreciated was how attentive Arthur was to my personal situation. Since my main goal was to improve my French for work, he made sure to focus on professional vocabulary, useful expressions, and real-life workplace scenarios. At the same time, he incorporated my interests in geography and travel into the lessons, which made them even more enjoyable and helped me stay motivated. I truly believe this personalized approach accelerates learning and keeps students engaged over the long term.
Arthur also helped me understand how the French language works rather than simply memorizing rules. As a native German speaker, I found it incredibly helpful that he pointed out similarities, patterns, and connections between French and German. This deeper understanding gave me more confidence when speaking and made it much easier to find the right words and express myself naturally.
Another aspect I really enjoyed was that some lessons took place outside in the city, creating an immersive learning environment. These sessions pushed me to use French in real-life situations and helped me become much more comfortable speaking spontaneously. Arthur always encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone while maintaining a relaxed, supportive, and positive atmosphere.
In addition, Arthur uses Notion to create a personalized learning space for each student. There you can find exercises, videos, notes, and learning materials tailored specifically to your needs, which makes it easy to continue learning and practicing between lessons.
Thanks to Arthur's guidance, I improved my French much faster than I expected, and even colleagues and friends noticed the progress, which was incredibly encouraging. Beyond being an excellent teacher, he is also a genuinely kind, patient, and enjoyable person to learn with.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Arthur to anyone looking for a French teacher. If you want lessons that are personalized, engaging, practical, and highly effective, you will be in excellent hands.
