À propos de John

Hello! I'm John, a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg, originally from Taiwan.

I earned my PhD in Sweden, where my research focused on pain and neuroscience. Currently, my postdoctoral research explores neuroinflammation and molecular mechanisms in the brain.

My academic background has given me a strong foundation in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, neuroscience, physiology, and immunology. I have also published three first-author scientific research papers.

Before pursuing my research career, I spent three years teaching mathematics to junior high and high school students at a private tutoring institute in Taiwan. This experience helped me develop the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt my teaching to different learning needs, and build students' confidence.

As both an experienced mathematics tutor and an active biomedical researcher, I enjoy making complicated scientific topics easier to understand through clear explanations, practical examples, and step-by-step guidance.

**My teaching philosophy is simple: understanding the underlying principles is much more valuable than memorizing facts.**

Whether you're a secondary school student preparing for an exam or a university student looking to strengthen your understanding of biology, I'd be happy to help you achieve your learning goals!

**Understand Biology with Confidence – Personalized Lessons from a Postdoctoral Researcher! **

Biology is not just about memorizing facts and terminology. It's about understanding how living organisms function, how different biological systems interact, and the fascinating mechanisms behind life.

As a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Luxembourg, I offer personalized biology tutoring for secondary school and university students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their grades, or prepare for examinations.

**What I can help you with:**
- **Cell and Molecular Biology:** Cell structures, DNA, RNA, protein synthesis, and gene regulation.
- **Genetics:** Inheritance, mutations, and genetic mechanisms.
- **Human Physiology:** Organ systems, nervous system, and physiological functions.
- **Neuroscience:** Brain function, neurons, and neural communication.
- **Immunology:** Immune responses, inflammation, and disease mechanisms.
- **Biochemistry:** Biological molecules, enzymes, and cellular metabolism.
- **Exam Preparation:** Reviewing key concepts, solving practice questions, and developing effective study strategies.

**My teaching approach:**

I believe that truly understanding biological concepts is far more valuable than simply memorizing information.

My lessons focus on:
- Breaking down complex topics into clear, manageable steps.
- Using diagrams, illustrations, and real-life examples to explain biological mechanisms.
- Encouraging questions and interactive discussions.
- Adapting each lesson to your academic level, learning pace, and individual goals.
- Developing scientific reasoning and problem-solving skills.

With my research experience and previous tutoring background, I aim to connect textbook knowledge with real scientific discoveries, making biology both understandable and engaging.

**Whether you're struggling with biology, preparing for an important exam, or looking to deepen your scientific knowledge, I'm here to help you learn with confidence!**

Lessons are available online in English or Mandarin Chinese.
