Bonjour et bienvenue ! Je m'appelle Andrea Johnson, et je suis ravie d'offrir des cours de piano à Paris cet été ! I’m a university professor of piano pedagogy (the academic study of teaching beginning students) in the United States, and I spend the summer months in Paris. I am currently offering weekly classes online with in-person Summer lessons in May, June, and July 2026.
Whether you're a beginner hoping to explore music for the first time, or a continuing student wanting to grow your skills over the summer, I would love to support your musical journey. With over 20 years of experience teaching students of all ages, I tailor each curriculum to the student’s unique interests, learning style, and goals. Lessons may focus on classical repertoire, music theory, popular styles, technique, sight-reading, or anything in between. My teaching is rooted in the best practices of piano pedagogy and performance, supported by my academic and performance background. I have a wealth of knowledge of resources and can assign teaching repertoire that can make anyone sound their best at any level. Qualifications: Associate Professor of Piano Pedagogy at the University of Northern Iowa (USA) Doctor of Musical Arts in Piano Performance and Pedagogy (University of Oklahoma) Experienced performer, collaborative pianist, and international presenter Pedagogical research and publications connecting piano, theater acting, and creativity. Students regularly win awards and pursue music professionally or for personal fulfillment
