Prix : 700.00CHF - Lieu : Genève (1201)Software Engineer with over 12 years of experience offers programming lessons for absolute beginners and especially children and teens.

The aim of the course is to introduce people who have not had until now any experience with computer programming in a playful and stress-free way to programming.
The language used is Scratch or BYOB (essentially the same language in different versions), which has been developed by the MIT to introduce programming to children in a graphical, drag&drop way.

The primary aim of this course is to get things done and reach presentable results quickly: Theory like data structures and algorithms or computer architecture is only introduced when it is absolutely necessary.

For those that make quick progress of who want to gain more in-depth knowledge about software development it is also possible to switch to Python, a fully fledged programming language useful for everything from automating repetitive tasks, creating games up to performing calculations on supercomputers.

It is best if the student has a computer at hand so that it is possible to continue to practice after the lesson has ended. If not, I will be bringing my Laptop with me in any case.

Total duration: Approximately 10 hours. Prolongable if needed.
