À propos de William
I am a Mechanical Engineer, resident in Fribourg, Switzerland, and born & raised in Washington DC.
I give English lessons to students based around the world, currently on Saturday mornings. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes and is conducted via WhatsApp.
If you can talk & understand on the phone, then you will be able to talk & understand in any situation. For that reason, I avoid using video.

My role is to train your ears and voice to understand more quickly and speak more freely.
I focus less on writing than on listening comprehension and speaking.
A typical course involves the student reading from their favorite texts. I intervene when I do not understand, and when the student has troubles understanding. I quiz the student to ensure that the content was understood. We also freely discuss the text. I identify and describe new words to the student. If the student desires, I record the session as an audio file and give the recording to the student.
