Students' satisfaction. This is what pushes me on pursuing this activity. I love to see that moment when they finally understand, when get the knowledge, bit by bit.
Over the years I have been able to see how students are more and more afraid of maths. They grasp the knowledge...but they block at the exam, fearing to fail. I design my classes to teach knowledge, sure, but also help to build the student's self-confidence much needed to be successful in beating maths related fears!

I am Michele, young researcher toward to end of a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Statistics, with a strong passion for teaching.
With >1000hrs tutored over the years, I have been teaching Mathematics for around 10 years, at all levels from GCSE & secondary school, up to University and graduate courses.
I am a researcher, but I have a true passion for teaching! It's a difficult job, but the student's feedback, their smile and satisfaction after overcoming a difficult problem has proven to be priceless for me :)
My teaching mantra is "the less, the better". I prepare an individual learning path customized for each new student, but with something in common: meeting less frequently but providing the students with exercise for some independent work (with remote guidance for that if needed). While doing that I aim to push their self-confidence, which I believe to be as much important as knowledge when dealing with an exam :)
