À propos de Sienna

Salut!

J'aimerais donner des cours de langue, de sciences humaines et de sciences aux lycéens de Canberra. Je suis diplômé du PYP (programme primaire) et du MYP (programme de college) pour le IB. Je connais donc très bien le programme et les types d'évaluation. Mon travail chez Kumon, où je soutiens des enfants de tous âges l'anglais et des enfants plus jeunes mathématiciens, a également beaucoup d'expérience en matière de tutorat. Cela m'a aidé à comprendre les principales luttes dans ces matières ainsi que la meilleure façon de soutenir un élève à travers elles. Je parle couramment le français et j'ai étudié à l'étranger depuis mes 16 ans dans le sud de la France. Je suis restée chez mes grands-parents le week-end et j'étais à l'internat pendant la semaine. Je suis passionée de la langue et de la culture, alors j'aimerais donner ce cours à d'autres personnes. Alors que les langues ont toujours été mes sujets forts, j'ai enduré une lutte sans relâche avec les sujets STEM. En cinquième, j'ai été dévasté par mes notes moyennes en sciences. Il m'a fallu de la persévérance et de la résilience pour me classer dans la plus haute classe de sciences recevant un A pour chaque tâche d'évaluation, à tel point que j'ai obtenu le prix d'application aux études. J'ai pu suivre les spécialités SVT, maths physique-chimie au BAC. Je crois que cette expérience est précieuse pour ma capacité de tutorat dans ces matières, car je comprends vraiment les difficultés que beaucoup rencontrent et je suis armé des stratégies que j'ai apprises pour m'améliorer.

J'essaie de faire en sorte que l'heure soit utilisée efficacement et adaptée à l'objectif souhaité de l'élève. Pour les plus jeunes, je m'assure que le contenu est engagente et adapté aux intérêts de l'élève.

Parfait ! We have worked with Sienna for the past 18 months, during which time she has taught both of my daughters, aged 13 and 11, at very different stages of their French language journey. My eldest studies advanced French, while my youngest is a beginner, and Sienna has demonstrated an exceptional ability to tailor her teaching style to meet their individual needs.

Sienna has built a wonderful rapport with both girls. She is fun, friendly, and brings positive energy to every lesson, which keeps them engaged and motivated to learn. She is also reliable and diligent, being well-prepared and demonstrating a genuine commitment to their progress.

Sienna puts together thoughtful and creative lessons. She sometime incorporates innovative learning methods, including songs, books, movies and other engaging activities to vary things up that make learning French enjoyable and effective. Beyond the classroom, Sienna often contacts us with recommendations for books, texts and other resources that will support the girls' studies and further develop their language skills.

Sienna is an outstanding teacher who is passionate about helping her students succeed. I could not recommend her highly enough. She has made a significant contribution to both girls' confidence and enjoyment of French, and we have greatly valued her support and dedication.

I look forward to every lesson with Stephen's daughters, who I get to see every week for French lessons. They are always attentive, inquisitive, and disciplined, even when tired. I enjoy getting to know more and more about them, their interests and lives in Australia as their French improves.
