Native French Speaker for Fun, Practical French Conversation & Beginners — Learn Through Real-Life Practice

À propos d'Alexander
I’m a native French speaker, fully bilingual in English, and a professional musician, composer and sound designer.
I’ve been teaching music for years, and a big part of my approach comes from that experience. Music has taught me that practice, repetition and actually doing something are often far more effective than trying to memorize everything intellectually.
That’s how I approach French as well: speak, listen, repeat, make mistakes, improve, and gradually make it automatic.
I’m not interested in making lessons feel like school. The aim is to create a relaxed environment where you can actually use French and progressively become more confident with it.

About the lessons
My lessons focus on something simple: actually using French rather than spending your time memorizing endless lists of vocabulary and grammar rules.
We can use Superprof’s built-in video call, or, if you prefer, we can also use Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp or Discord.
I believe language works a lot like music. You don’t learn a song by memorizing every note separately — you practice it repeatedly until your brain and your muscle memory start doing the work automatically. I use the same principle when teaching French.
We’ll have real conversations, work on pronunciation, pick up useful vocabulary naturally, and deal with grammar when it actually helps you communicate. I want you to become comfortable expressing yourself, not just good at passing grammar exercises.
Lessons can be adapted to your level and interests. We can talk about everyday life, travel, culture, music, films, work, hobbies, or whatever genuinely interests you. If you’re a complete beginner, we can start from the basics and build up gradually.
I’m also fully bilingual in English, so if you’re struggling to understand something, I can explain it clearly in English rather than leaving you staring at a grammar rule you don’t understand.
