À propos de Marie-Anne
Hello,
My name is Marie-Anne, and I live in France in the Pays de la Loire region. After a career as a medical representative, I now teach CONVERSATIONAL French to students ranging from B1 to C2 levels. What motivates me in teaching is seeing my students progress, gain confidence, and build fluency. I adapt to your needs and goals, helping you overcome challenges. With me, you can improve your oral expression in a friendly and relaxed setting. Together, we will explore various topics based on your interests, and I'm eager to introduce you to French culture. It's essential for me to create an environment where you can communicate without fear of judgment. Count on me to identify your weaknesses and provide solutions. :)
Whether you are a student or working professional, I assist you in practising your French or preparing for oral exams (IGCSE, IB, A level, DELF…).

My teaching method is conversation in FRENCH ONLY and based on my experience in teaching French as a foreign language, primarily as a tutor. I firmly believe in an interactive and personalised approach tailored to the specific needs of each learner. Please note that your level of French needs to be enough for you to cope with a simple conversation (usually B1 onwards).
I strive to create a friendly and encouraging learning environment, fostering self-confidence and fluent communication. My goal is to provide effective lessons, adapted to each student. The conversation topics that we will discuss depend entirely on your objectives. If you are preparing for a speaking exam (IGCSE, A level or the DELF) I will make sure that we cover all the themes detailed in the curriculum. On the other hand, if you are not bound by an exam we will be able to talk about a wide range of topics depending on your objectives but a few examples could be French culture, food, cinema, literature, politics, sports, key dialogues…
In our first lesson, my primary focus is to assess my student's current proficiency level, allowing me to tailor the lessons precisely to your needs. I take the time to understand your motivations and personal goals. Regular feedback is integral to our learning process, and I am committed to helping you build confidence and fluency.

I had learnt French at school and carried on at uni but as I never lived in France I felt that I could only talk about basic everyday life matters. In my lessons with Marie-Anne my level of fluency dramatically improved. She spotted and corrected my mistakes and encouraged me to extend my sentences and build on my vocabulary. I am now much more confident and know that I can have real conversations with native speakers.
All the best!I really enjoyed my lessons with Marie-Anne. She is very kind, warm and enabled me to overcome my apprehensions to speak French. Our conversation lessons together were also quite refreshing because she is not like a traditional school teacher.
