À propos de Florent
Born in France, I graduated in French Literature, Linguistics and "Didactic", which basically means "how to teach a language". Yet, if I love theory, I must say there is nothing like the actual discovery of how a language really works, and I am grateful I could teach French for 10 years now at college level, but also with teenagers, or with adults who spent 25 years working in France! At all levels, there are specific things to unlock and decipher for people who want to be comfortable French speakers, and I can simply not get enough of that!

Learning a language is a messy process, but it's also fascinating! During 10 years of teaching at college level, I have paid attention to the processes the students have developed in order to succeed in the exams but also to actually be able to "function" in France. I'd like to bring that to people learning French on their own, outside the institutions, whatever their goals are. On apprend une langue en la pratiquant, et surtout en développant ses propres stratégies de compréhension et de "production". C'est un processus très individuel et passionnant : j'espère favoriser et consolider le développement de mécanismes efficaces chez les apprenants. The classes are based on what works better for the student: authentic documents, exercises, explanations, tasks ; or on the goals set together (preparing for DELF, reaching a specific level, on specific skills, etc.)
