À propos de Shahd
Hi, I’m Shahd Islam, a 21-year-old Egyptian who has called Morocco home for the past 14 years. Growing up between cultures gave me a natural love for languages: I speak Darija, Egyptian Arabic, Fusha Arabic, and English fluently, with an intermediate understanding of French.
My relationship with English started at age 7, when I joined a British school that shaped the foundation of my language skills. Since then, English hasn’t just been a subject I studied, it’s been a language I’ve lived in.
Over the past two years, I’ve tutored college-level math courses in English, which taught me how to break down complex ideas clearly and adapt to each student’s pace. I’m also certified, having earned my International Tutor Training Program Certification (ITTPC) from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
Beyond the credentials, I’m social, easygoing, and flexible. We’ll talk about whatever makes you comfortable, at whatever pace feels right for you. Your comfort always comes first.

Each class ends with a list of new words and their definitions for you to explore before our next session. You research those words, and that becomes the starting point for our next conversation. Half the lesson is guided by me, and the other half is yours to lead using what you discovered, so you aren’t just absorbing English, you’re using it in your own way.
