À propos de Giammarco
Hello there :) I'm Giammarco and have begun my guitar journey almost 20 years ago. I have gone from Italian pop songs to standard blues, then through progressive metal and jazz. Lately (10+ years), I have been exploring ways of expressing emotions through notes, writing my own (guitar-centred) music. However, my teaching skills have been tested in a totally different world: I have spent some years in the UK and taught engineering topics to University of Oxford students (not as fun as teaching music). Rigour, patience, and empathy will be the building blocks of my lessons, and they will be paired with some challenges to make learning more fun and effective!
I can teach both in English and Italian, and from personal experience I'd suggest exploring this as a fun way of improving skills in a language different from your native one.

Lessons with me will be tailored to the student's goals and starting point. For starters, in a few sessions we could go from learning chords and shapes across the entire neck to learning different rhythmic patterns. For intermediate guitar players, instead, we could explore how to approach improvisation and how to build a solo in the style of *insert your guitar hero*. If you are at a relatively high level already but struggle to feel confident when playing on your own or you're stuck in the pentatonic box, I will show you in a couple of sessions how I have learned to overcome these difficulties :)
