I'm Jose, a Colombian who ended up in France somehow — still not entirely sure how that happened, but here we are. I'm the kind of person who learns languages just to be able to talk to more people, gets way too competitive at board games, and thinks a good hike fixes most problems. I believe the best conversations happen between people who are genuinely curious about the world — and that's exactly the kind of energy I try to bring to every lesson.

Want to learn Python but have no idea where to start? That was exactly me 8 years ago.
I'm Jose, a Colombian geologist with an MSc from IFP School (Paris) and over two years of hands-on experience in the international energy industry. For 8 years I've used Python daily to analyze complex geological data, build statistical models, and automate scientific workflows.
Here's what those 8 years taught me: the hardest part is starting. Online tutorials are often too abstract, too fast, or completely disconnected from real-world problems. I learned by making mistakes, getting stuck, starting over — and because of that, I know exactly where beginners get lost and how to get them unstuck.
What I teach:
Python from scratch — variables, loops, functions, pandas, numpy, data visualization
Data science and data analysis for beginners
Statistics and geostatistics applied to real problems
Earth sciences and geology (high school to university level)
Spanish — all levels, native speaker
My approach: no theory for the sake of theory. From the very first session we work on concrete examples pulled from real projects. I adapt to your pace, your goals, and your level — whether you're a student, a professional switching careers, or just someone curious about data.
Lessons available in English, French or Spanish.
The only wrong way to learn Python is to never start. Book a first session — and let's figure it out together.
