À propos d'Anna

My name is Anna Serkedaki, and I am a flutist and music educator
who studied the flute and the Orff approach music and movement education in Belgium and Greece.
(Flute diploma with honors from the Athens Contemporary Conservatory, Specialized Master’s degree in flute from the Conservatoire Royal de Mons – École Supérieure des Arts in Belgium, and a three-year postgraduate program in Orff music and movement education)

I have also attended numerous seminars (some of which were scholarship-funded) on the flute (classical and jazz), music and movement education, and music therapy.

I have over 10 years of teaching experience at music schools, primarily through private lessons at home and online, with students ranging in age from 3 to 53 and of all skill levels.

I am active in the arts and education scene, playing the flute and organizing and leading music and movement workshops in schools, cultural centers, and outdoors.

I have performed in musical ensembles (classical, jazz, and contemporary music) with concerts in Greece and abroad, storytelling performances with live music, and I have composed original music for performances.

A course structure is proposed that allows for a deeper understanding of the instrument in terms of technique, tuning, and musicality.

However, various teaching methods are explored during the course to find the one that best suits and works for each student (whether through formal or informal learning).

The repertoire (pieces and genres) is selected based on the student’s interests, preferences, and the music that inspires them.

Emphasis is placed on cultivating the student’s active listening and aural perception so that they can correct themselves independently, make faster progress, and gain another tool for enjoying and playing music.

I suggest the course objectives, but the student ultimately determines them. A key benefit of private lessons is that learning can be tailored to the student’s specific needs and skill level.

At the same time, students can learn music theory, ear training, and solfège.

Recorder Lessons for Young Children (ages 5 and up)

The recorder is an instrument well-suited for children because it is easy to play and introduces them to the world of wind instruments. Lessons are held once a week and incorporate music education practices. During these lessons, children learn to play the recorder while having fun, thereby developing a love for their first musical instrument.

We learn:
-proper sound production,
-proper posture and breathing,
-the basic principles of music theory,
-how to sing and play songs from a repertoire spanning various genres and eras,
-how to read sheet music.

The goal of the course is to develop children’s initial musical skills through a playful environment that encourages their active participation. To introduce them to and allow them to experience musical performance. To build the foundational skills common to all wind instruments.
