🪅🪅About me🪅🪅 I am native Japanese born in Yokohama, south of Tokyo, currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. I am fluent in both English and Japanese and I plan to teach in both languages in my Japanese lessons. I have: - Over 7 years' experience giving Japanese lessons️ - Worked with children, adults, business professionals, foreign technical trainees, nurses and caregivers from East Asian countries - I use “Genki” or “Minna no Nihongo” as the textbook for beginners, but an important part of our lesson is to encourage you speak - For young learners, I will use kawaii (cute) puppets in the lesson. The textbooks are specially designed for children, featuring many adorable illustrations, making it an enjoyable experience for them. I also have a Japanese childcare work license.

I am a certified Japanese tutor and have 7 years' experience working as a program coordinator for technical trainees, nurses and caregivers from East Asian countries. I have taught them not only Japanese language but also Japanese corporate culture. I not only have the experience teaching Japanese to business professionals, but also to international students aiming to enter Japanese universities and also small children. If you are starting a new job with a Japanese firm, or have a temporary posting in Japan, I can help you prepare and acquire the language and other related skills necessary to succeed! For beginners, I find it best to start by learning basic grammar and vocabulary. For intermediate level and above, it depends on your preferences; we can focus on conversation or working on the JLPT exam, read news articles together, etc. In the trial lesson, we will decide on your needs and you will get an idea of my style of lesson. 🪅A little More About Me🪅 Sogetsu IKEBANA-I'm a holder of a Second-Degree Instructor Certification in Sogetsu Ikebana. I arrange flowers whenever I have some spare time. I teach Sogetsu Ikebana as an assistant instructor at the United Nations Women's Guild (UNWG) in Geneva, guiding students from various national backgrounds. Japanese Seasonal Food Master-I completed the Professional Course in Traditional Japanese Event Cuisine of Saijiki Lab. If you are interested in Japanese Ikebana (flower arrangement) or Japanese traditional event cuisine, I would love to hear from you!
